We shot this in London, Edinburgh, Orkney and finally in remote Papa Westray.
Roy (https://www.yunusroyimer.com) and I began talking a few months before principal photography begun in London about certain sequences that it’d be advantageous to board before shooting.
Roy’s cinematography on this film was very intuitive and, for the most part, hand held. So I wanted my boards to have a movement, freedom and spontaneity that’d marry with his style.
I boarded these for Roy & Nora after our pre-shoot in April 22 when it was lambing season and Sersh could deliver lambs on camera. On the main shoot I was Standby Props and was able to see my boarded frames on camera in real time which is always very cool.
